MOB PC doesn't recognize Xbox 360 controller

Postby Moniker on Mon Mar 30, 2009 7:39 am

Isn't the PC version of this game supposed to be compatible with the Xbox360 wireless controller? Is there a config file I can manually change to make this work?

Thanks in advance,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

The XBox controls were taken out of the release version. I've edited the controls file to add the XBox controls back in. Unzip the attached file into My Documents\My Games\MOB\Profiles\[Profile] and they should work. Your profile name will be a series of numbers (your Steam ID). If you want to change the button mapping, you can open actionmaps.xml in notepad. Every key name that starts with "xi_" is an XBox 360 button.

Chris,

Why people actually want to play a FPS with a controller will always amaze me....

How do I make my Xbox 360 backwards compatible? Can I buy a backwards compatible disc? Do I have to join Xbox live or at least plug in my internet line into the back of my 360? Can is just play a special disc in my 360 to make it compatible. I never owned an Xbox and there are a few of the Star Wars titles that I really want to play. Please help. Thank you.

How do I get my wired xbox 360 controller to sync up/work?
When I plug my wired 360 controller in, the green lights in the middle of the controller flash and keep flashing but they don't settle to the player two position (I already have one wireless controller synced up) and the player two light on the actual console doesn't light up. I don't usually use the xbox (it's my brother's), so this may be a stupid question, but can somebody please help? Thanks!

How can I get my Xbox 360 to use the internet through my computer? I want to hook up the ethernet cable to my computer so my Xbox 360 can connect to Xbox Live that way, but it doesn't work. What do I need to do?

Thanks Chris for answering that. I never thought that there will be some configuration to be done to work it. I tried it and my xbox360 controllers are really working great!

Are you going to use xbox 360 unit or just the controller? I don't think you can hook up the ethernet cable to your computer and get online. You should connect your xbox 360 instead to your router and not to your computer.

Yeah, this is a PC game that is capable of supporting an XBOX 360 controller and not the XBOX360 player itself.
